I recently relocated to Istanbul to teach at an international school. It's been a fantastic experience so far and very challenging. If you want to know more about the international teaching experience, drop me a line.

Greetings Susan,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

I currently work as an independent consultant but have always been looking at ICT as a tool for helping to motivate and reconnect students from all age ranges. I don't currently work in a school but my background is in special ed. I just think the elements available in web 2.0 are currently underused, possibly due to lack of confidence by educators. For the students, however, it's everyday usage for them at home.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a group of us New Mexicans here? (And wouldn't it be even nicer to be able to meet face-to-face on occasion?)
Hope all is well in L.L.
