I'm so excited to find this group. It's much different being "alone" in a school with nobody to help with daily issues that pop up.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm a library assistant. I have a BA in English and Psychology and a Diploma in Public Relations & Media Studies. I don't have the energy to start studying again... but I would love to be a Teacher Librarian one day. I guess that is not going to happen if I'm not prepared to go out and do a couple more degrees, but I do want to immerse myself in learning how to be a 21st C librarian. This seems like just the community to get all the info I need to be better at what I do. Thanks folks!
Hi BJ,

Thanks BJ, I manage a school library in Melbourne, Australia. It is a fascinating time to be involved in a learning profession. Jan
Thanks, BJ! Looking forward to being a part of this...
Thanks for welcoming me to this site, and I look forward to using some of the features you mention.
Thank you for the welcome. Cheers,

Thank you so much!

Thanks Joy for the welcome! I actually use two blogs to teach various lessons in my classroom. Take a peek at http://thewritingwhisperer.blogspot.com/. Feel free to leave a feedback comment if you visit and don't hesitate to share my blogs with other teachers you feel might find them useful. You might notice I have a lesson that uses the Joy of Books video you have posted on your site.
Happy Reading and Teaching!
