Name of Your School / Library / Organization:
A passionate learner, creative and cirtical thinker. A believer that libraries and technologies could become learning hubs and spaces in schools. Work with school librarians and technology facilitators to create programmes which could help in appropriate and constructive utilization of these learning resources. A dreamer who wants to achieve 4L, which is Life Long Learning Librarian, because unless librarians are not learners by themselves, they could not facilitate anyone in the school community to become life long independent learners. Hope this dream will come true one day for the librarian community working in Pakistani Schools and Educational System.

Greetings Nooruddin,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks for joining the Information Fluency Group. I resonate with your 4L Life Long Learning Librarian idea. After working with library media people for the past 6 years I've come to believe that librarians are the essential element to create the changes we are both interested in promoting.
I look forward to learning with you!
See you online,
Dennis
