    Greetings Siobhan,

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.

    Hi Siobhan,

    Thanks so much for your reply.  I do know that 1 year contracts are not the norm, but I am very willing to negotiate the terms.  I have good experience and could hit the ground running so I'm hoping that there will be something available.  I will keep applying and see what happens!  Thanks again for getting back to me.

    Hi Siobhan,  there's a librarian job open at the International School of Kuala Lumpur for the fall of 2011.  Do you know anything about this school?  There are some negative comments on the International School Review website.  I'm looking for a 1 year contract for 2011-2012 school year.  Any info. would be very helpful.  Thanks!
