  Greetings Randi, 

  I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.

  Yes, this is a small, crazy world...and, yes, I do work with Megan's mom and I worked with Megan during semester break. I hope she got something out of the days she was here! If you see her, say "hi."

  Oh my goodness! I LOVE Megan! She and I work together as graduate assistants. She is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. Are you the librarian who works in the same school as Megan's mom? I know Megan did fieldwork in her mom's school during semester break. What a small wold!

  I told Dawn I really don't want to have another author for a long time---getting teachers interested, no money and the planning are just plain agonizing.

  Hi Randy, Ji-Li said NO to 1/2 day, like she forgot that she was trying to go to Rosemont and that fell through---argh!
