I retired from the University of Central Florida in August 2007. I've been working on a survey about school library media specialists knowledge and use of webtools (web 2.0) and a wiki where we can all share resources and ideas for using webtools to make us more productive and engage students in their own learning.

I have something very vital to disclose with you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me via my direct email(susanwalphonsus001@gmail.com) for more details.
Have a nice day,
Susan Wingfield Alphonsus.
Greetings Donna,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit.
We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight. If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

We've been at it again!
My students and I would like to invite you to Freeze-n-Read 4 Libraries on 4.17.10 @ 4pm and ask you to help us promote our National Library Week/library advocacy event! We've made another website that explains it... www.freeze-n-read.weebly.com
I'd love to hear that college students are participating...do have any contacts that might help us get the word out? I've really learned a lot from this project and it's only just beginning!
I hope all is well with you,
Kathy

I realized I have a few other things to share with you...but I have family coming in today and I need to get off the computer!!!! LOL!
I'll get back to you!
Did you hear back from the Edublogs contest? I haven't seen a list of winners...but I've been very busy...
I am finishing up a major Web 2.0 project that I thought you might like to see. I hope you enjoy it... www.catbookler.weebly.com
Creative Scholastic Book Fairs are special events for us. We have been fortunate enough to win their National Student Crew Contest twice and have just entered our first Web 2.0 book fair into their Fall 2009 contest.
I'll post the link on your wiki, too...along with a couple of other things I've done lately.
Happy New Year!
Kathy Adams
I tried to comment back from my phone, but I don't see it here...so just in case, I'll say it again...you always have a tremendous positive impact in everything you do for us in our profession...so I'm sure this workshop was no different. It was remote? That would be challenging in and of itself. I guess you don't live in Debary any longer...NC?
I will send you a quick email next with something else fun you can use if you wish!
Thanks for all you do, Donna!
Kathy
