I am the Library Technology Educator at Rogers Elementary School in Colorado Springs. I have two children; Rachel is 14 and Nathan is 12. I enjoy knitting, reading, and hanging out with my kids in my spare time. The highlight of my week is Friday Night Club; a group of women ranging in age from mid-20 to mid-70 who gather for friendship, food and spirits.

    Greetings Tanya,

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.

    Tanya, I just checked you into my friend's list. This is my first week using this website and it has already been fun seeing how many of our cohorts are using this site. Congratulations again on passing your placement test...you are almost finished. I am really proud of you. You have overcome a lot of obstacles, faced them, and took on a lot of challenges to complete this MA program. You stand proud, girl. You deserve the recogition. You are inspiring for others.
