I am in my second year as librarian at Juniata Valley High School. We have 350 students in 7th - 12th grades. I recently became a "Webhead" in Electronic Village Online's introductory course of the same name. I am interested in using 2.0 tools with my students in as many ways as possible.

    Greetings Sarah,

     

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit.

    Glad to see you have shown up in my friends list, I was having technical problems and wasn't sure if my reply had worked. Your MySpace page is an inspiration. I have a book club that's not really getting off the ground and this might be a way to pull them together.
