About Me:
I am a retired educator but love spending my time supporting teachers with the use of technology in their classrooms. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, and have been a professional educator for over 50 years with many roles including principal, teacher, special education director and university pre-service teacher education instructor with Arizona State University/College of Teacher Education and Leadership (CTEL). I am the host for Classroom 2.0 LIVE webinars for teachers featuring exemplary teachers and great tools/apps for technology integration. I am a STAR Discovery Educator and am also actively involved in the EdTechTalk (ETT) community through weekly webcasts, and past co-host for Women of the Web webcast. I am also a member of the K12 Online Conference Organizer Team which is responsible for planning and hosting an annual virtual conference for educators. I am an active AzTEA member (AZ Technology in Education Association- ISTE Affiliate).

Greetings Peggy,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight. If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen
