    Greetings Pat,

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.     Hello Pat.  Nice to meet you on TL Ning.  I'm a retired teacher and a children's poet and I welcome you to come and see the website I've made for children of all ages where you can find lots of new poems.  I have only passed through Edmonton on my way to Vancouver, when the CPR Railway used to cross Canada.  I emigrated in 1966 but I have to tell you that I returned in 1968 to be married and that was a long time ago.  Nice to meet you.  Josie
