Greetings Nancy,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

I used Glogster. http://www.glogster.com
GREAT FUN! Joyce Valenza just mentioned it in her column, too.
See the Description under Presentation Tools:
Create an interactive online poster with links, photos, text, stickers, sound, music, animation and more (the home page of this wiki was created with Glogster) See --and submit--other Glogster examples on the Presentation Tools--Ideas to Share page.
Also, there's been some discussion about it in the wiki...do a search on glogster to find all the references.
I should mention that a media specialist contacted me just yesterday asking how to turn off the Glogster logo which turns into a drop down menu and allows access to view all the glogs, some of which she feels her district will think are not appropriate and therefore will block access to Glogster district-wide. I didn't have a solution, but she is going to contact the company and let me know if there is a workaround. If so, I'll post to the wiki as well.
When you create something, I hope you'll share it--and any other web 2.0 tools you are using. Good examples are the missing element of the wiki, I think.
Good luck!
