Here's my first attempt at a school related wiki project (in it's infancy... ) It is a careers wiki that will serve as a pathfinder for various jobs. The students have just started posting, but I'm excited by the potential.
A collaborative reading project between the Library and the English Department. Students in Grade 8 and 9 were required to pose a thoughtful question based on one of the 10 books they read with some personal connection to the wider world. They are fairly successful beginnings and both the students and teachers were inspired to create.

This isn't exactly new, but an English class had a fine time making MySpace profiles. The assignment for these Juniors was to create a myspace page for a character from Gatsby. This includes completing a profile, an "about me," blog entries, and commenting on their "friends'" pages in character.

This year I'm doing a lot of work with a teacher in a class called Multimedia Productions, essentially a retooled drama class that's been amped up for multimedia. The classroom teacher and I wanted to get podcasting right away, so we adapted some existing projects. It was funny, some of the kids were reluctant and shy about it. But seeing their work on the website and their names come up in iTunes was a rush -- "Oh, snap!"
Next year we're looking to do more and dig more deeply into it. But here's what we've got so far:
