Our Media class is working on making us a freshman orientation video. I wish we could access yours at school, but all the Ning sites are blocked--even a Tenn-Share ning that we were taking an online class from recently.
I love this video. It sure beats any of the existing library orientation videos put out the professional video production houses. You know the ones I am talking about. Sometimes I threaten to show them to my students if they misbehave in class. It just proves what kids can create if you give them the tools and let them go with them. I am beginning to think about how to do something like this with middle school students. They will probably need a bit more guidance from me than high school students but I bet we could produce something really cool for Watertown Middle School.
I can't believe how cool this is. I want to see if I can get some of my student to create one for my library! I was really showing it off yesterday, and mentioned it to my principal too. Joyce- can't wait for the sequel- Spartans Quest II; or the online game to match it! :)
I agree Di... lots of fun and visually appealing. This is one of those 23 things that you can do with Web2.0 to make a difference... love the fact that it is student directed/ scripted? Can see adaptations to this... guided enquiry concept.

I think the video's great. I am inspired to get our students to try something similar for orientation. It's also great to get an insight into the workings of other school libraries. We are currently looking at changing our library webpage... I really like the "fun" look of yours and will be showing it to a few of my colleagues as an alternative to the "conservative presence" we have had in the past. Cheers.
