  This summer, my school requested that I come in two days a week on Thursdays and Fridays for three weeks and open the school library during summer school to read stories and check out books. I see this as great progress for my school. Because for so long the my school seemingly could not separate the library being opened and the librarian being available during summer school unless the librarian was assigned to teach a class in the same manner as a teacher.
  
  I am interested in knowing what your summer expectations and experiences have been like at your school if your library was open at any point during the summer.
  
  Please share activities that were done--like stories, songs, art projects, etc.
