My name is Stefanie Sweeney, and I am from Regina, Saskatchewan. I have a B.Ed. from the University of Regina, but I also attended the University of Alberta and the Université Laval during my undergrad years. I have been a French Immersion teacher for Regina Public Schools for ten years. During that time, I have been a middle years classroom teacher, a teacher-librarian, a primary specialist (K-3 and a special needs program), and most recently, a learning resource teacher.
I have two very busy boys (6 and 3), and together with my husband, we like to go camping, canoeing, and adventure outside in all four seasons. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, particularly rowing, running, and weight lifting. Professionally, I am interested in literacy within a French Immersion context and school leadership. I've been lucky to have had the opportunity to grow my experience in those areas as a learning resource teacher and teacher-librarian.
