Barb Odanaka, founder of the nonprofit Skateboard Moms, demonstrates a few tricks during her group's visit to the Mission Learning Center in San Francisco's Mission District. The Skateboard Moms read to the children, talked about the joys of reading, then put on a show before going out on their skateboards into the neighborhood and handing out new and gently-used children's books as part of their Rolling4Reading community service project.
