Hello. I am a K-12 district media specialist in a smaller rural community 4 miles east of Effingham, IL. I am a UIUC GSLS graduate and am particularly interested in information literacy, childrens' literature and its history. The good part of my position is that I get to exposure to all age levels and the information and literacy needs of all of our students. The bad part of my position is that it seems that I can only skim the surface of each level and have little significant contact with any age level of student.

Greetings Susan,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight. If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

Poor word choice. I meant through this social networking site. Can you email me at author@jadaykennedy.com? Then I'll send you an email interview.
What I need for you to send me in the email is the following:
Where do you work as a media specialist? Tell us about what a media specialist does? What are the grade levels you work with, type of facility you work in, etc...
Give a brief biography. (Two paragraphs maximum)
Website Address:
Blog Address:
Email Address:
Please send a jpeg of yourself, school, library, office, etc…
After I get this information, I'll write and send you the email interview. I'm looking forward to it.
Blessings,
J. Aday Kennedy

I’m the blogger at “J. Aday Kennedy: A Writing Playground”. Every month I focus on a topic to help authors write and promote their writing. In April, the focus will be books and why they’re selected by librarians, and how they’re chosen and used by teachers and homeschoolers..
I was roaming the internet and came across your site. I think a librarian can give some insight into the types of books that interest students and schools. Would you be willing to be interviewed? If so, email me at author (at) jadaykennedy (dot) com. I hope I hear from you soon.
Blessings,
