I have been a special education teacher for the past 6 years. Although I do not spend a lot of time watching television, my absolute favorite shows are GLEE and The Big Bang Theory. I believe reading, music and laughter help keep me and my family healthy and happy.

    Greetings Patricia,

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.     Hi Patricia. Thanks, this is a great idea for a Taks rally as well. The children had a blast! They were anxious to know who the teachers were under the puppets. I will keep you in mind for other ideas.

    Hi Patricia, thanks for adding me to your network! When do you plan to finish your degree? I initially thought I needed 2 yrs. but was relieved to find out I will be graduating Aug. 2011! Will you be attending the FTF tomorrow in Brownsville?
