I am in my thirteenth year as a Teacher-Librarian, my nineteenth as an educator. I've taught elementary ed, elementary special ed self-contained & resource and I absolutely LOVE being in the library. I see all students in my K-5 school on a fixed schedule, about 407 right now and I collaborate at every opportunity. I have two daughters, 29 & 15, three cats, one old golden retriever and a husband of 32 years. I love VT, swimming, reading, word games & puzzles and sugar in many forms.

    Greetings Mary,

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
