In this age where the search is on for faster and smaller technological fixes for the problems, perceived, manipulated and/ or real in this society, the time is now for a radical departure to the norm, the status quo of engendered mediocrity, a seizing on the possibility that a precision ‘strike’, planned and delivered is what remains paramount is prudent and necessary to stem the ever growing departure from reality of our young. – Albert Speer who was noted for his massive displays of marchers in the 1930s is as well quoted once as saying that in methamphetamines, a substance had been found to be capable of ‘Turning the human into a feral animal which could then be manipulated for the purposes of the Reich’. – What I hope to share in presenting this, is not ‘the solution’ but ‘a solution’ to which it is hoped a movement begins away from this abyss, too rapidly swallowing and stripping bare the minds of our young.

Greetings Martin,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen
