Greetings Jenny,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight. If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

I use http://www.gcast.com for my podcasts. Wordks well and you can embed it into your blog/website. DOnno how Audrey does it- I ahve never had much luck with using the google podcast widget. Here is my podcast blogpost: http://maggiev.edublogs.org/2008/09/18/how-to-make-a-podcast/
But yesterday I also looked at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ Have not tried it out yet. Looks cool though
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.

I’m the blogger at “J. Aday Kennedy: A Writing Playground”. Every month I focus on a topic to help authors write and promote their writing. In April, the focus will be books and why they’re selected by librarians, and how they’re chosen and used by teachers, and homeschoolers..
I was roaming the TeacherLibrarianNing website and came across you. I think you can give some insight into the types of books that interest students and schools. Would you be willing to be interviewed? If so, email me at author@jadaykennedy.com. I hope I hear from you soon.
Blessings,

What kind of activities are you planning on doing?
How often do you have students to advise and guide?
Cheers
