I am 52 mother of 6 children ranging in age from 10 to 23 an almost grandmother, wife of one husband for the last 25 years. I am currently part-time teacher/librarian at Parkes Christian School and working also at TAFE as a Librarian and supervising students studing library technicians course in their workplace. I enjoy the challenge of keeping upto date in a very rapidly changing industry and love to see what my fellow TL's are achieving, it really inspires me the wonderful contribution being made to educating people.

I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
