I am looking forward to seeing many of you at our AASL session:
Web 2.0 meet the Standards for 21st-Century Learner
Sunday, July 12, 2009, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
McCormick Place West W-187
We have a wonderful panel ready to share, but this is going to be very participatory session--a smackdown! Please come prepared to share your own favorite tools for learning and teaching! We also need a backchannel moderator!
You need to be a member of TLNing (teacherlibrarian.org) to add comments!
Just attended the "Smackdown" at NECC in Washington DC on Monday, June 29th. Excellent. The contributions from the panel and group were really useful. I am interested in Digital citizenship. Here's a tip: If David Loechter is speaking at ALA or AASL, plan on attending his session.
Will anyone be able to broadcast this out to the web for those of us who cannot attend the session in person? I really appreciated this feature of NECC and I am so bummed that I cannot be there!

I'd have to say it's doubtful for a broadcast other than perhaps a cover-it-live blog and some devoted Twitter friends posting the wiki link and whatever is happening live. ALA is offering virtual attendees into some sessions (that appear to be videos) but at a STEEP cost. So our best bet out here in virtual land is the crumbs in the form of a CIL, access to the session wiki which will be posted, and tweets. I'll be there waiting in the wings with you.
