I have inherited a media center that has no walls, the the boundries are set up by bookshelves that create a long rectangular space in the middle of the hallway. The only 2 walls have a large painting (about 20 years old) of disney movies (complete contradiction to reading I think). I am DYING to remove them and use these two huge walls to display student work. I also do not have a bulletin board. This would be the most awesome place to display reading goals! My question is how do I breech the subject with my principal without seeming demanding, or ungrateful? They were painted by someone who worked there like a million years ago (overexaggeration). Its killing me, HELP!
