I am beginning the process of having an library design company begin to plan a new layout of my library. I will have to present the rationale for these big changes to stakeholders such as the PTO, Ed foundation, Board of Ed. Has anyone ever had to do a presentation similar to this and has a rationale for re-designing their library to people that wouldn't normally understand why we need to keep transforming this space? Just didn't want to re-invent the wheel if someone is willing to share...

Do you have a five year plan of some kinds or a collection development policy? Those can be very useful at justifying changes that need to be made to the physical structure/layout of the library.
