Library Coffee House?

Hello!

I am hoping to throw my first ever LIBRARY COFFEE HOUSE, but I have no idea what something like this entails!!!!!!

I figured I would ask some students to play some acoustic music....maybe some poetry reading....some coffee and treats....

Can anyone give me some ideas of how I can make a really nice coffee house for my high school students!!!!?????

Do you charge students entrance into it?
What else do I have besides coffee and music????

    Follow up:
    We had our first library coffee house today and it was a big success.
    One of our most popular teachers sings and plays the guitar, so we had him be our big draw -- he also recruited students to come.
    First he and some students played, then we had some planned student readings, then some kids volunteered to come up and sing, then our teacher closed it out.
    We printed up tickets so we weren't overrun with people. One thing I would do differently next time is number the tickets and write down who took each number, then collect the tickets to see who came. I think I might have created a headache for the attendance office by not keeping better track.
    Everyone who came had a great time, and we plan to have more next year.

    I am so excited to have my very first coffee house!
    You gave me many ideas!

    I actually just wrote a letter to our wonderful PTO, and they are even giving me money towards the purchasing of foods and other necessities!!!!! They are awesome!

    I was thinking about hanging some drapery of some sort to turn the library into a cool, funky place!!!!

    I'm trying to get this off the ground, too. The writing group which is run out of the library is (hopefully) publishing a literary magazine, and we want to do it as a launch for that. I've spoken to a music teacher about having one of our student jazz combos play.

    My principal is concerned about stains from coffee and food. If anyone has any suggestions for how to assuage his fear, I'd love to hear them.
