I am a graduate student doing my field experience. My site supervisor asked if I would set up the new biographies in the display case. Any creative ideas for what I could use to decorate along with the books?
Thanks,
Loren

How about using real sports items for any sports bios (football, tennis ball, old sporting event tickets) political bios use old newspapers, business people use play money or display a few products they are famous for creating or inventing. How about using a map or globe to show the reader where the bio journey starts? If it is in a school, see if the art teacher might have some art work that would go with any of the books. No matter what don't stress over the display...just have fun with it!

This is a pretty broad spectrum, biographies. Inventors, explorers, world leaders, film stars...could you perhaps narrow it down to a category and then decorating would be easier because you'd have a theme.
Rulers - arrange books on top of old velvet curtains, dollar store crowns, gold chocolate coins, etc.
Explorers - lettering cut from old National Geographic magazines, toy compasses, spyglasses, hats, small globes, rolled up charts, objects representing the place "discovered", etc. You got the idea.
Sometimes just creating the lettering of Biography in an interesting font and then photocopying this numerous times and using it to collage a backdrop can look very interesting. You could also use newspapers, old posters, pictures printed off the internet of famous people arranged as a backdrop. I have several boxes full of interesting junk picked up at charity thrift stores which I use for displays. Hope these ideas might inspire you.
