Has anyone done anything of the sort in their library? Something fun, and scavenger huntish?
we want to use it as a way to collect names for a drawing for a prize.

Hi Elaine. I actually had an Elf on the Shelf caption this contest for my high school library. I set up our elf each week in funny displays, and students had to write a witty caption, which were displayed around the scene. The principal then chose the funniest or most clever one. I awarded students with prizes such as candy or small journals. The journalism class in particular really liked this.
