Database widgets!--You will LOVE them too

I am absolutely loving that I can integrate database search widgets into all of my wiki pathfinders. Read my post for details: http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/blog/134000033/post/1690045369.html Here are some of the links: * EBSCO Searchbox Builder * Gale Widgets (the iframe option works best for me) * Facts on File Widgets * Alternate Facts on File Widgets (works better on my wikis and blogs) * ProQuest Search Widget Creator

  • Hi Joyce,

We are just in the process of moving to an online OPAC with integrated databases so I look forward to using these widgets.
  • I too like the widgets. Last year I used Gale widgets and Encyclopedia Britannica widgets on my wikis. Gale's worked well, but Encyclopedia Britannica's widgets took students away from the subscription EB and put them into the free, and lighter-weight EB. Did anyone have that experience?
