An EBSCO monopoly?

Have all of you seen this email from Gale? It seems the EBSCO has acquired, or is planning to acquire, exclusive licensing of all Time and Forbes publications. Unless your library subscribes to EBSCO patrons will (over the next year) lose access to these publications. Our state, Pennsylvania, is currently renegotiating new terms for Power Library databases, but it certainly isn't a given that EBSCO will remain. Right now we're also able to access articles from these publications on Google Books, but sole licensing could make that go away, too. The Gale link about offers some options of writing and getting the word out about how sole ownership will hurt libraries.
